Mission

Slavic World for Christ is committed to spreading the Gospel and the love of Christ in Eastern Europe, with a special emphasis on Ukraine. We equip ministry leaders, provide finances for benevolent work, and support mission outreach.

The war in Ukraine has dramatically changed the needs and the ways in which we can meet them. The Church of Christ in Ternopil, which is in western Ukraine, has become a center of hope for refugees and others affected by the war. A significant part of the financial contributions to SWFC are used to support these efforts.

Slavic World for Christ works in cooperation with Living Word Association (“Zhyve Slovo” in Ukrainian), a charitable organization started by Stephan Bilak and registered in Ukraine which is made up of American and Ukrainian members. Sasha Kolosha, the Association Director, and his wife, Olya, work closely with the SWFC board to identify needs and organize ministry efforts. Sasha is also joined by Taras Lopushniak in providing vital spiritual leadership to the church and conducting worship and discipleship.

As the war enters its fifth year, people are looking ever more fervently for hope and meaning. We are grateful for your partnership in spreading the Word and supporting this vital work to meet both the physical and spiritual needs there in Ukraine.
